Beltrán Castro Gómez attended the EEM - International Conference on the European Energy Market in Lisbon recently.

There, he presented his work titled "Towards time series aggregation with exact error quantification for optimization of energy systems". This is part of the ERC project "NetZero-Opt" that focuses on reducing the temporal complexity of energy system optimization models to make them more efficient. 

He also took part in the interesting presentations by all the other speakers and got to know new people from this exciting field of research. The conference welcomed speakers from academia and industry from all over Europe and featured a wide variety of topics discussed, such as a new electricity market design, or the integration of storage and renewables.
