Business Run 2026: Not only models run efficiently at IEE.

56th place out of 2560 teams and the fastest team from TU Graz: The Model Runners can do more than just run fast energy system models.

Optimized from start to finish: Robert Gaugl, Thomas Klatzer, and Florian Schimek achieved an impressive 56th place out of 2560 teams at this year’s Business Run with a total time of 01:03:18. Even hail, rain, lightning, and thunder could not stop the team.

Even more remarkably, the IEE Model Runner Team was the fastest team among all 86 teams from TU Graz. Once again, the Institute of Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation proved that it does not only run models efficiently.

The result impressively highlights the motivation and dedication with which the team approaches not only sporting challenges, but also the projects at IEE.
