Best Poster Award at the Energy System Optimization Workshop 2025

At the Energy System Optimization Workshop 2025 hosted at TU Graz, two outstanding posters received the Best Poster Award

During the Energy System Optimization Workshop 2025 at the Institute of Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation (IEE), TU Graz, the winners of the Best Poster Award were announced. Based on the collective votes of all workshop participants, the result was a tie, leading to two awardees this year.

The Best Poster Award goes to:

• Maaike Elgersma (Delft University of Technology)
  „Tight and Compact MILP Models for Storage Operation and Unit Commitment“
• Yannick Werner (Graz University of Technology)
  „Scenario reduction for the stochastic unit commitment problem“

Both posters stood out for their scientific quality, clarity of presentation, and strong relevance for advanced decision-making in future energy systems.

Warm congratulations to both winners, and sincere thanks to all poster presenters - Felix C. A. Auer, Felix Engelhardt, Nikos Giannakakis, Antonia Golab, Jonathan Hachez, Ignacio Serrano and Franziska Theis - for their valuable contributions. Their engagement made the poster session a highlight of the workshop.
