Course Description

Methods and Algorithms for the Circuit Implementations in communication systems. This fully digitalized module consists of a lecture and an exercise part. 

Learning Objectives

A student is, after successful completion of this module, able to understand

  • The essential circuit building blocks of a communication system and able to describe them on transistor level
  • Protocols and hardware-implementations of high-speed bus-systems
  • Clock/data recovery techniques (DLL, PLL, Timing Recovery)
  • Aspects of error-detection and – avoidance.
