Workshop 2 is dedicated to the Margathenbad in Geidorf, the Margerl, as it is also affectionately called.
The bath is an important social infrastructure in the district and in summer a meeting place for different user groups, relevant for the quality of life of the city residents and for the (also intergenerational) cohesion in the district. Outside the opening hours and the season, the bath remains unused.
We want to think about how to develop the content and architecture of the bath to make it a meeting place for the whole year, which spatial connections and networks are needed in the neighborhood and beyond, how a redesign of the open space in and around the bath can contribute to a greening of the place.
In small groups we will develop a proposal with different thematic focuses. The results of the workshop will be incorporated into an exhibition in the bath and a publication.
