Successfull completion of the workshop

In the week between 18.1.2013 and 23.11 2013 a mutual workshop was held for ‘Digital Design’ students from the Akademie der bildenden Künste Stuttgart and participants of the seminar ‘Digital Workflow‘ from the TU Graz. The theme of the workshop was to develop a concept for a geometrically intelligent concrete-sandwich construction and its efficient fabrication.
The main focus was the robot based manufacturing of the formwork, which was cut of EPS foam blocks using a hot wire. Great thanks to Austrotherm who provided the foam blocks and to all the participants for their engagement.

Sarah Behrens, Milan Groß and Simon Tremel, as well as Nikolai Hanke and Maximilian Lorenz succeeded in winning prizes at the Concrete Design Competition 2013/2014 .
