Tirewear Reduction, Analysis of Components and Emissionmeasurement Research
The aim of the project is to develop and elaborate a test bench test procedure representative of real driving conditions test bench test procedure for the comprehensive determination of tyre wear emissions relevant to health and the environment. The method to be developed is intended to analyse the number emissions, the mass emissions of airborne particles and the morphology of the abrasion particles on the test bench, emissions caused by tyre abrasion under laboratory conditions in a realistic and reproducible manner and to define more suitable limit values for limiting tyre abrasion. The resulting test bench test procedure, consisting of the measurement method with the associated sensors, the evaluation software and simulation tools in user-friendly hardware and software packages, represents an urgently needed addition to the test method to the test method proposed in Euro-7.
