10th Graz Brain-Computer Interface Conference 2026

The 10th Graz BCI Conference is pleased to offer five travel grants for student participants.
Each grant will cover the student registration fee, providing an opportunity for students to attend and present at the conference at no cost for registration. To apply, students must submit a one-page motivation letter explaining their interest in the conference and how attending will benefit their academic or professional development.
Please submit (Conference Office) the document until the April 1st containing the signatures of the student and supervisors.

Travel Grantees will be informed in due-time by the Conference Organizers.

The travel grants are sponsored by the Faculty of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology.

We cordially invite you to submit papers in the area of brain-computer interfaces, this includes papers, but is not restricted to following areas:

• Non-invasive BCIs
• Invasive BCIs
• Passive BCIs
• Methods for BCIs (including, feature optimization, machine learning and deep learning, feedback generation)
• Applications of BCIs
• Regulatory and Ethics in BCIs

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by an international review board. Accepted papers will be published in open access proceedings and receive a unique DOI. Submissions must use the Word or LaTeX template provided at the right hand panel of this website in section downloads. Please do not tinker with the template parameters such as line spacing, page borders, font sizes, and so on. Your submission can be up to six pages long. More detailed instructions on how to create a submission can be found on our website before paper submission opens (December 1^st 2025). Please note that the submission deadline is March 16, 2026. Papers submitted after this date will not be considered.

Notification on Acceptence will be sent out April 25th, 2025.

The 10th Graz Brain-Computer Interface Conference 2026 will feature workshops to stimulate in-depth scientific discussions on specific BCI topics of interest. Workshops can combine talks, discussion, demonstrations and hands-on activities. Workshops will cost a small additional fee for participants to cover coffee and rooms. The duration of a Workshop is limited to 3 hours. Workshops will be held on Monday, September 14th 2026.

Please send your workshop proposal per mail to office.ine@tugraz.at. Your proposal should provide the following information:

• The name of the workshop
• The names/affiliations and contact information of the organizer(s)
• A workshop abstract that includes a statement of the workshop’s goals (max 150 words)
• Workshop timetable, number of expected participants, workshop format, etc.

Please note that the submission deadline for workshops is March 30th 2026. Workshop proposals submitted after this date will not be considered.
