About me

I started my studies of chemical engineering at Graz University of Technology in 2014. After finishing the bachelor’s programme I decided to enter the master’s programme of chemical engineering with specialisation in systems engineering and process technology. During my master’s programme I visited Universidad de Zaragoza in Spain as an Erasmus student.

For my diploma thesis I already worked at the Institute of Process and Particle Engineering and investigated the flow patterns in a weathering cell for corrosion experiments with aid of CFD simulations. While working on my diploma thesis high interest in simulation science as a tool for design and optimization of technological solutions emerged in me.

In 2021 I started my PhD programme at the Insitute of Process and Particle Engineering.

Research interests

The topic of my PhD is the modeling of transport processes of molecules in polymer films with aid of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. During my PhD I will work on creating as representative systems as possible of different polymers. Material constants like the diffusion coefficient will be determined based on these simulations. The goal is to mechanistically understand the transport and degradation behavior of the investigated polymers.
