FORM FOLLOWS ENERGY

Prof. Brian Cody

Collaborations with world-leading, internationally active architectural firms have proven to be an important instrument to expand the state of knowledge in the field of holistic, total energy conception of buildings and urban design projects and to advance the urgently needed development of this field worldwide. Energy Design Cody is consulted on some of the most exciting and challenging building projects in the world and works with some of the world's leading architects, including Coop Himmelb(l)au, Rem Koolhaas OMA, MVRDV, Miralles Tagliabue, to name but a few. These collaborations have resulted in over 35 first prizes in international competitions. In parallel, software tools are continuously developed to enable the energetic analysis and optimization of innovative energy design concepts. Through teaching, a direct transfer of this innovation know-how to students takes place.
