Station:
Dospaceships fly with a high voltage drive?

On Friday, 13.4.2018 the "Long Night of Research" took place.
The Institute of High Voltage Technology and System Performance also participated in Austria's largest research event and answered questions such as
"Can high-voltage discharges be used as drive for flying objects?"
"How can electricity grids become safer and more environmentally friendly through high-voltage technology?"

The institute gave an insight into current research topics and showed exciting experiments such as artificial lightning flashes, flying rockets and others. There were three show performances in the Nikola Tesla hall at 18:00 / 20:00 / 22:00 o'clock, the place cards for a total of over 250 people were quickly “sold out”.

Description of the experiment "Lifter mit Ionenantrieb" (only available in German)
