S-band / VHF Station

From 2013 till 2022 a combined S-band/UHF station was used for the operations of the BRITE mission. In the course of the PRETTY project a new antenna tower was designed to facilitate also a transmit path in the S-band. In addition, the UHF transmit path was substituted with two yagi antennas in the VHF band.

The current tower comprises

• a 3m parabol dish for up- and downlink in the S-band
• two yagi antennas for signal reception and transmission in the VHF band
