Since May 2015, I am a Professor with the Institute for Computer Graphics and Knowledge Visualization at the Faculty for Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering of TU Graz. My research interests are in 3D Object Retrieval and Processing, Visual Analytics, and Visual Search for Digital Library applications. Central research questions include how large collections of 3D object and abstract (e.g., high-dimensional and spatial-temporal) data can be visually represented for exploration; how queries and similarity functions for searching and processing of 3D and abstract data can be modeled and applied; and how automatic data analysis methods can be interactively visualized for better understanding and leveraging by users in data processing. Our considered application areas include large data exploration, visual search interfaces, 3D object search, and shape restoration in 3D Archeology.
