This thesis focuses on two topics. First of all, it deals with the consequences of the removal of the formwork on building time. Secondly, it examines the building costs of reinforced concrete superstructures with continuous and repetitive production. Early in the thesis, stripping times determined by the Austrian and German Standards ÖNORM and DIN are critically reviewed. The first chapter also deals with the loading due to higher stories in the superstrucutre, and especially with the moment that occurs when the loading becomes effective. For continuous and repetitive production, equations used to obtain the commissioning quantity for formwork and supporting scaffold are developed. The development of these equations for the formwork is an essential part of this thesis. Furthermore, the equations used to determine the costs for formwork, reinforcement, and concrete are also developed. For all investigations, equations used to calculate the commissioning quantity and building time were used in combination with equations used for repetitive production and cost detention. Examples are used in each chapter to illustrate the special aspects associated with early removal of the formwork. Chapter 6 deals with the consequences of early stripping on the commissioning quantity. Last, but not least, the costs for producing the reinforced-concrete-floors for a multi-storey-superstructure are conducted.
