Information event about Shanghai and our strategic partner university Tongji University

An exciting online event that gives an insight into the culture, life and also studying in Shanghai. Our colleague Yang Li, who is on site at the liaison office at Tongji University in Shanghai, will talk about Chinese culture, give tips and tricks for communication in China and she will also explain how to avoid cultural blunders. An insight into campus life at Tongji University will also be provided.

„Meet Hidden Champions“ Young ICT Companies Recruiting Event
June 16th, 2021 | 15:30 - 17:30

16 start-ups and medium-sized growth companies from the Graz area offer more than 150 positions for young academic talent, also during their studies. Get to know them at the traditional recruiting event for students and graduates. Co-host is our Prof. Johanna Pirker!

Yesterday, our master's graduates and doctoral students were duly honored. About 400 registered guests took partat the Freiluftarena B, Messe Graz. You will find further information and pictures of the event in the next days here.

Wiener Rupert-Riedl-Preis 2021 (in German)

Funding is provided for interdisciplinary, theoretical as well as practice-related work from the humanities, social and economic sciences as well as natural and technical sciences. The work can refer to current phenomena as well as have a historical focus. The award is primarily aimed at young scientists in the respective disciplines. Deadline: 30.06.2021


EU: The PASIFIC Fellowship Programme

The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) is pleased to announce the PASIFIC Fellowship Programme funded within the MSCA COFUND scheme. The PASIFIC programme offers attractive 2-year postdoctoral fellowships to excellent researchers of any nationality, working in any scientific discipline. Each PASIFIC fellow will be granted a monthly allowance of approx. €2,500 net and, if applicable, an additional family allowance. In addition, PASIFIC fellows will be provided with a research budget of up to € 93,000 per project. The PASIFIC candidates must comply with the MSCA mobility rule. Deadline: 30.06.2021

Doctoral Examinations

Info: Candidates can take the final examination (presentation and oral exam) online via video conference call (e.g. Webex) if all parties involved agree. The requirement of publicity can be ensured as follows: Candidates may distribute the meeting link; requests to participate in the video exam can also be sent by e-mail to the chairperson of the exam commission.
