DAY 1 - May 30, 2016 (half day, 10 am to 4 pm):

GRAZ Highlights World Heritage and Cultural Capital. Graz has many faces: Renaissance residence and student city. Romantic arcaded courtyards, bustling squares, medieval alleys, southern charm. A panorama of old and new. From the Clock Tower at the “Schlossberg” with its unusual hands to the island made of glass and steel. From the “Friendly Alien” (= Kunsthaus) to Eggenberg Castle. Have a sensuous experience of a captivating city! (incl.: bus, guide, elevator up to the Schlossberg, entrance fees, guided tour, lunch – excl. drinks)

DAY 2 – May 31, 2016 (full day, 8 am to 8 pm)

VIENNA Austria’s capital city with its rich cultural and historical heritage. It was the imperial residence of the Habsburg Empire for six centuries and is known as the city of classical music. Join a tour through the state and guest rooms of Schönbrunn Palace, which already was used as a summer residence by Empress Maria Theresia and also contains an enchanting park.  After lunch in a typical Viennese restaurant join a sightseeing tour along the Ringstrasse with its magnificent buildings, such as the Museum of Applied Arts, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, the Parliament, the City Hall, the Burgtheater. Also take a stroll along the old town and have a glimpse into St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Austria’s most eminent Gothic edifice, and have a coffee break in one of the famous Viennese Cafés. DAY 3 - June 01, 2016 (full day, 9 am to 4 pm)

RIEGERSBURG and ZOTTER CHOCOLATE FACTORY Riegersburg Castle impressively stands in solitary splendour on the remains of 482 m high volcanic mountain. Referred to by the Turks at the time as “the mightiest fortress of Christianity”, the imposing appearance of the castle still commands our respect. After lunch in a typical restaurant enjoy a visit of the Zotter Chocolate Manufacture. Immerse yourself in the world of chocolate. The guided tasting tour around the Zotter world of chocolate provides valuable information on chocolate as well as numerous creatively arranged titbit stations. (incl.: bus, guide, Riegersburg castle – elevator, entrance and guided tour, lunch – excl. drinks, chocolate factury – entrance and guided tasting tour (audio guide)

DAY 4 - June 02, 2016 (full day, 10 am to 5 pm)

SOUTH  STYRIAN WINE ROUTE Here, beneath poplars and chestnut trees, where the Klapotetz beats time, life revolves around wine. An internationally more and more popular variety of local white wine reaches the peak of maturity amidst the gentle hills of southern Styria. A wine-tasting will help you acquire a taste for it. During the visit to the pumpkin seed oil mill you will be let into the secret of the “black gold of Styria” – the production of the famous pumpkin seed oil. The episcopal Seggau Castle is amidst the most noteworthy sights of Styria. And to round if off you definitely have to try the Styrian fried chicken, the “Backhendl”, a MUST on this culinary tour. (incl.: Bus, guide, Seggau Castle – commentated wine tasting of 3 wines), lunch with “Backhendl” – excl. drinks, oil mill: entrance, guided tour, tasting of pumpkin seed oil)

Cancellation Terms If a participant cancels the spouse program for which he/she has already paid before March 10, 2016 a refund of 80% will be made upon application on site. No refunds will be made if cancellation occurs after March 10, 2016. If payment for the spouse program has not been received by April 10, 2016, it will be assumed that the participant no longer wishes to join the program and the reservation will be cancelled. The Organising Committee may cancel the spouse program if the minimum number of persons required is not reached. In such cases the fees will be refunded.
