Students and staff of TU Graz are automatically registered as library users. Your TU Graz Card is also your library card. External persons can have a library card issued free of charge. More about this under library card.
The TU Graz Card is your library card, that means the validity of the library card is linked to your employment or enrolment. The library card for external users is valid for two years, but can be extended.
Multifunctional devices for printing, scanning and copying can be found at all three library branches. Students and staff of TU Graz use their TU Graz Card. External users can use their library card. You can top up credit at unipay.tugraz.at (credit card or bank debit) or directly at the HTU copy shop and the TU Graz print service.
Sudents or staff can use the eduroam network. External users can use the guest account for the WLAN. Please ask at the circulation desk for the guest account.
Students and staff can log in with their TUGRAZonline access data. External users log in with their $F-number on their library card and their password.
If you see the location "Magazin" for a title in LibrarySearch and are logged in, you can make a reservation directly. Alternatively, you can also ask the staff at the circulation desk. Books and journals in the stacks ("Magazin") are not freely accessible.
Books and journals with the location "Freihand" in the LibrarySearch are freely accessible, you can go directly to the shelf and pick up the desired publication.
You can borrow up to 25 titles at the same time.
Books from the course reserves can only be used on site.
Journals can only be borrowed over the weekend.
If you are logged in to LibrarySearch, you can make a reservation for a title in the detailed view of a title.
To do this, log in to your user account in LibrarySearch, click on "My library account" and select the title you wish to renew.
Eating in the library is not allowed. In the main library you can eat in the foyer on the ground floor. You can heat up food you have brought with you in the "International Kitchen" in the International House (Lessingstraße 32).
Students & staff: To access licenced e-resources, you must be on the campus network. Off-campus VPN access is required. The VPN client is available to all members of TU Graz.
For external users: E-resources can only be used on site in the library.
