Research at IHCE

The Institute of Health Care Engineering with European Testing Center of Medical Devices deals with the development and assessment of new point-of-care and sensor technologies, the modeling and simulation of biophysical and biomedical mechanisms on cellular and tissue level and the development and validation of computational approaches and methods, aiding in prognosis, diagnosis and therapeutic management. Methodological, technical, operational, organizational, economic and quality assuring aspects of intra- and extramural health care with particular emphasis on patient safety complements the research profile of the institute.
