Worksho 1 - GUGA

Aglaée Degros

The workshop proposes developing a dynamic urban vision that can motivate decision-makers and is based not on buildings but on the enhancement of undeveloped areas!
The workshop is inspired by LUGA (Luxembourg Urban Garden Exhibition), which connects green spaces of all kinds: parks, riverbanks, residual areas, embankments, public and private gardens, etc. In addition, these areas are brought to life with various activities and artistic interventions.
With the help of input from various stakeholders in Graz's green spaces, students will map different types of green spaces. They will create a large plan that brings these areas together and then define what the added value of some sections of these green spaces could be: a tree under which outdoor lessons can take place, a residual area that becomes a rain garden for the neighborhood, riverbanks that provide access to the water, etc. – the first GUGA (Graz Urban Garden Exhibition).

In cooperation with the City of Graz.
