In 2025, students from Graz University of Technology took part in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program entitled “3D Earth Printing.” Hosted by Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, the program gathered 36 international students from five universities: Graz University of Technology, University of Innsbruck, The British University in Egypt, University of Catania, and Poznan University of Technology. An online course followed by a summer school in Cottbus was supervised by 13 instructors, including Julian Jauk from the Institute of Architecture and Media at Graz University of Technology. The lectures, guided design workshops, and hands-on experiments focused on advanced computational design and digital fabrication with earthen materials. During the online phase, teams developed clay-printable prototypes, which were then realized on-site at full scale using robotic 3D printing. The summer school also included excursions to significant architectural sites in the Lusatia region.
