On June 27, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture transformed the Campus Alte Technik premises into a sprawling exhibition landscape. At “Graz Open Architecture,” the thirteen institutes, student collectives, and drawing studios celebrated the end of the semester—and presented a broad range of student projects and thesis works from the previous study year. On display were architectural models of different scales along with visualizations and publications on different topics from the bachelor’s and master’s programs. Dean Petra Petersson bestowed the Sketchbook Prize again this year. Students from the Institute of Spatial Design turned the summer exhibition into a race: they brought vehicles designed as part of their coursework to the test circuit. The function and stability of the “architectural prototypes” they had designed were tested in several scoring categories. Outside the pit lane, the bands Silkyway, Werna Warum, and Chemamandale fostered a lively atmosphere. Counting among the engaged visitors were Rector Horst Bischof and University Councilors Ulrike Farnik and Barbara Steiner.
