The publication, Jahrbuch 19/20 (Yearbook 19/20), is the second edition of the yearbook series put together by the Institute of Design and Building Typology, and it includes a selection of contributions based on design theory, from the academic year of 2019/20. The topics covered in the courses “Design 2”, “Design 4” and the “Integral Design Studio” span a wide spectrum; from the reactivation of rural areas, illustrated using the example of Goričko in Slovenia, to an architectural examination of collective memory at the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance in Vienna. In addition to contributions based on design theory and reports regarding the cooperation with international visiting professors, the book also contains a selection of master's theses written at the institute.
