Particle Shape: Roundness and Sphericity (ISO 14688-1)

Loose rock components (e.g. gravel and cobbles) are visually assessed based on their geometric characteristics to determine their degree of roundness or angularity (based on the classification chart by Pettijohn et al., 1987).
