Lea Brandner

Lea A. Brandner started her scientific work in the field of Organic Chemistry and Biocatalysis under the supervision of Prof. Rolf Breinbauer. For her Master thesis, she was granted a 6-month scholarship by the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation to investigate bio-inorganic model systems of enzymes at the University of New Mexico (USA). Related to this work, she received her Master’s degree in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Nadia Mösch-Zanetti in 2019. Later that year, she joined the Falcaro group for her PhD studies, where she is currently investigating the conversion of ceramics to MOFs with a focus on post-synthetic modification.
