Informatica feminale Baden-Württemberg (#ifbw21)
July 27th - 31th, 2021

For the 21st time, the network Frauen.Innovation.Technik at Furtwangen University organizes the summer school informatica feminale BW. The target group is female students and working women in the field of computer science and related disciplines. Participants can expect numerous exciting technical courses on the key topic of "Data Science" as well as soft skills courses. In addition, there will be a varied social program and many opportunities for networking among the participants. The registration deadline is 30.06.2021, after which remaining places will be allocated.


HackZurich 2021
September 24th - 26th, 2021

Join tech talents, representing several elite universities, to collaborate on innovative web-, mobile- and hardware applications during a 40-hours hybrid hackathon. An opportunity to touch base with innovative communities and career opportunities with global industries, that provide the latest technologies, tools, data, and APIs to spark the creation of new prototypes. Wiener Rupert-Riedl-Preis 2021 (in German)

Funding is provided for interdisciplinary, theoretical as well as practice-related work from the humanities, social and economic sciences as well as natural and technical sciences. The work can refer to current phenomena as well as have a historical focus. The award is primarily aimed at young scientists in the respective disciplines. Deadline: 30.06.2021


EU: The PASIFIC Fellowship Programme

The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) is pleased to announce the PASIFIC Fellowship Programme funded within the MSCA COFUND scheme. The PASIFIC programme offers attractive 2-year postdoctoral fellowships to excellent researchers of any nationality, working in any scientific discipline. Each PASIFIC fellow will be granted a monthly allowance of approx. €2,500 net and, if applicable, an additional family allowance. In addition, PASIFIC fellows will be provided with a research budget of up to € 93,000 per project. The PASIFIC candidates must comply with the MSCA mobility rule. Deadline: 30.06.2021

Doctoral Examinations

Info: Candidates can take the final examination (presentation and oral exam) online via video conference call (e.g. Webex) if all parties involved agree. The requirement of publicity can be ensured as follows: Candidates may distribute the meeting link; requests to participate in the video exam can also be sent by e-mail to the chairperson of the exam commission.
