Product Innovation Gala
June 1st, 2021 | 16:00-18:00

Over the last 7 months students of the Product Innovation course at Graz University of Technology worked on real-life challenges given by industrial partners – Andritz, Fronius, ÖBB, OMV, Palfinger, Payer –  to develop innovative concepts, new products and functional prototypes. At the Innovation Gala they will broadcast live from the Schumpeter Laboratory of Innovation to present their results.


Academic Ceremony at the Messe Graz
June 7th, 2021 | 13:00-15:00

About 400 registered guests take part in the academic celebration at the Freiluftarena B. The celebration is the first of its kind at TU Graz. Speakers include the Rector of the TU Graz Harald Kainz, or Markus Mair, CEO of Styria Media Group AG.


Information event about Shanghai and our strategic partner university Tongji University
June 9th, 2021 | 10:00

An exciting online event that gives an insight into the culture, life and also studying in Shanghai. Our colleague Yang Li, who is on site at the liaison office at Tongji University in Shanghai, will talk about Chinese culture, give tips and tricks for communication in China and she will also explain how to avoid cultural blunders. An insight into campus life at Tongji University will also be provided.

Machine vision: TU Graz researchers define new state of the art

Using the visual cortex as a model in the human brain, the research group led by ERC-award-winner Thomas Pock has developed new mathematical models and algorithms as the basis for faster and more intelligent image processing programs.


ECampus - a new service for technology-supported teaching and learning

The project was implemented under the project management of Patrick Schweighofer (FH CAMPUS 02) and with the collaboration of Michael Kopp (Uni Graz) and Martin Ebner (TU Graz) with the participation of all Styrian universities and funded by the Science Department of the Province of Styria with about 200,000 euros.

EU: The PASIFIC Fellowship Programme

The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) is pleased to announce the PASIFIC Fellowship Programme funded within the MSCA COFUND scheme. The PASIFIC programme offers attractive 2-year postdoctoral fellowships to excellent researchers of any nationality, working in any scientific discipline. Each PASIFIC fellow will be granted a monthly allowance of approx. €2,500 net and, if applicable, an additional family allowance. In addition, PASIFIC fellows will be provided with a research budget of up to € 93,000 per project. The PASIFIC candidates must comply with the MSCA mobility rule. Deadline: 30.06.2021

Doctoral Examinations

Info: Candidates can take the final examination (presentation and oral exam) online via video conference call (e.g. Webex) if all parties involved agree. The requirement of publicity can be ensured as follows: Candidates may distribute the meeting link; requests to participate in the video exam can also be sent by e-mail to the chairperson of the exam commission.
