In this lecture a variety of hydraulic structures are visited on site. Great care is taken to visit existing structures as well as structures like hydro power plants under construction. Furthermore, ecological hydraulic engineering measures like widenings or fish ladders are viewed.
The students learn how hydraulic structures are built and work. The contact between students and the practitioners is an important part of the course.
