It is all about the flight from Syria via Turkey to Greece and through Eastern European states to Austria. On their journey, the main protagonists encounter paths, sectors, junctions, heterotopias and transitory spaces, amongst others. The spaces and places they have passed through are analysed and interpreted in form of a graphic novel.  They communicate with the reader in rhymes to give the images an interpretable atmosphere. In the story, you move through a world of memories, which means that the places described do not correspond to reality but rather to the perception of Syrian refugees that I, the filter, interpreted graphically. By using the graphic novel as a medium, I was in a position to create a story of the places remembered and to portray them both in images and words. This graphic novel draws on interviews with Syrian refugees in order to be able to understand and analyse the mechanisms of their journey.
