Description of organisation

The Working Group Sustainability Assessment deals with issues in the thematic area of sustainable construction. Main topics are environmental and economic assessment and the optimization of construction products and buildings.

Topic priorities are:

• Development of building sustainability evaluation methods 
• Life cycle assessment (LCA) and evaluation of the environmental performance of building products and buildings 
• Evaluation of the economic quality / life cycle costs (LCC) 
• Interdependencies of environmental and economic sustainability with functional and technical performance 
• National implementation requirements of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), in particular with regard to the basic requirement no. 7
