What is GreenChips-EDU about?

GreenChips-EDU is an EU-funded education project (October 2023 - September 2027). 

The project partners work on

  • creating innovative education material to integrate sustainability aspects into microelectronics education
  • digitalising course material to make (online) access possible
  • organising student mobility opportunities through industry-academia collaboration
  • streamlining masters programmes & designing special courses

In a nutshell, we develop new courses and formats to attract more talents to the semiconductor industry.

We are 7 universities (TU Graz, TU Darmstadt, Grenoble INP, POLITO in Torino, UPC in Barcelona, IST Lisboa and FH Kärnten), 6 business and training partners (Infineon Austia, Končar Inem, Aedvices, Silicongate, Business Konsens, R.U.S.Z.) and 2 research institutions (INESC-ID and Joanneum Research), focusing on microelectronics education and sustainability innovations.
