Further, the ecological, human and spatial issue will be central key issue. 1.1 The Compound Term for the Acronym “URBA” As mentioned in the beginning, the Institute of Urbanism (Institut für Städtebau) is searching YOUR IDEAS for the compound term behind “URBA Graz”. It should be emphasised that English is the preferred language for the term. It is absolutely important that the content refers to the institute’s research interests. Requirements:
  • In the first instance, we are seeking for a compound term for the precise abbreviation URBA
  • If there could be a much better term found that di ers slightly and would make an abbreviation such UURBA or URPA, it can be also submitted

  • You can submit as many ideas as you want

Flexibility is a key requirement, including the need to resize easily and to look good in black and white as well as colour. The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high quality printing as well as for fax or other lower resolution prints/copies. Furthermore, the logo has to be identifiable and legible even in small scale. Requirements:

  • Since the TU guidelines are demanding to use “sub-logos” always in combination with the TU Graz logo – in this case the URBA Graz logo –, your logo should be submitted with the TU Graz logo in context (e.g. see examples in “Manual zum Corporate Design (CD) der TU Graz”)
  • The logo does not have to contain the acronym AND the compound term, but two versions would be an advantage (just logo and the logo with the compound term can be submitted)
  • Preferred format for the logo is A4 portrait format in PDF format. The design has to be vector- based. The limit on attachment sizes for our email is 7 Mb, larger files be handed in sending a download-link to your files.
