WHi Team (Italy)

Pilot: Francesco Bettella
Team manager: Luca Tonin

The WHi team from the Intelligent Autonomous System laboratory (IAS-Lab, University of Padova, Italy) is a synergistic and multidisciplinary research group that aims at enhancing the translational impact of the Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) technology. The team, led by Luca Tonin, focuses on providing effective solutions for the interaction between BMI systems,  robotic devices and daily life scenarios. Our pilot, Francesco Bettella, paralympic champion, is deeply involved in the development and refinement of the BMI system and he is eager to participate in the Cybathlon BCI Series 2019. The participation will not be only an opportunity to advance the research but also to demonstrate the maturity of BMI technology and its suitability for end-users.
