Die Lange Nacht der Forschung 2016

The this year’s topic of the biggest research event in Austria is Biomedical Technologies. Electron microscopes are extremely helpful to understand the tiniest dimensions, doing so facilitating the development of new drugs or to conduct in situ experiments to do real-time studies in liquid environments revealing e.g. enzymatic activities.
We will present some of our microscopes, amongst them the ESEM (Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope) as well as one of the world’s most powerful transmission electron microscopes, the ASTEM.
Thank you very much for your interest in electron microscopy!
The Lange Nacht der Forschung was a great evening. We are very happy that so many people came to learn more about electron microscopy.
Some 180 visitors asked a lot of interesting questions.
