Biomedical picture of the day

Robert Winkler, PhD student at FELMI-ZFE, is focusing on 3D nanofabrication via FEBID (Focused Electron Beam Induced Deposition). This technology uses a nanosized electron beam for the highly local immobilization of functional molecules. By that, this 3D nanoprinting technology enables the direct fabrication of complex and even free-standing architectures at spatial nanometre resolution, like the Jailhouse mock, presented as Biomedical Picture of the Day on 23rd January.
