5. Green Tech Jam: Interdisciplinary student hackathon “Code & Concept for Green Tech” You are tired of lockdowns and want to have some fun and (at least) an online party? Want to get together with a bunch of creative and talented people and create digital solutions for a greener future? The Green Tech Jam is a hackathon for the green-minded community where young talents and Green Tech companys are working on a worth living future.
Family caregiving info series: needs and why they matter for your everyday caregiving The goal of this workshop is to recognize one's own needs as a family caregiver and to develop strategies to enable change in everyday caregiving and subsequently to achieve relief. In this workshop, an exchange with other family caregivers in similar situations can take place.

Hellomath: TU Graz student found learning platform for the math school-leaving exam Calculating probabilities, uncovering the value of X, analyzing graphs - math is the terror of many students. For students Maximilian Mallweger and Matthias Hülser, however, the subject is a passion. "Yes, it exists!" they write on their website Hellomath - the self-founded learning portal where students can prepare for the centralized math Matura.
Algorithm-Generated Music Recommendations: Low Accuracy for Fans of Non-Mainstream Music Listeners of high-energy music such as hard rock and hip-hop may be given less accurate music recommendations by music recommender systems than listeners of other non-mainstream music, according to research published in the open access journal EPJ Data Science.
TU Graz computer scientist Valentin Kassarnig et al. has investigated how future academic performance can be predicted: They compared the approaches of collecting data from social networks and other digital media on the one hand, and drawing on information from past performance (school grades, test and exam results) on the other. Better predictions were achieved with the second approach, which also requires less intrusion into people's privacy.
