The SHMII-13 conference is hosted by Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), Austria. TU Graz was founded in 1811 by Archduke Johann and has more than 200 years of history in research and teaching. World reknown students and professors of TU Graz include Nikola Tesla, Richard Zsigmondy, Friedrich Mohs and Karl von Terzaghi. The university buildings are in the city center in walking distance to many hotels and the main sights of Graz.

The SHMII-13 conference takes place at the campus area Neue Technik. The opening and closing ceremonies as well as the keynote presentations will be held at P1, the largest lecture hall of TU Graz. The lecture halls P1, P2 and TDK are located at Petersgasse 16, 8010, Graz (google maps link)
