During PM14 three poster prizes sponsored by Borealis and the Klaus Hummel Prize for the best contributed oral presentation offered by the Institute for Chemistry and Technology of Materials (ICTM) were awarded.
Poster prizes were selected at the suggestion of the selection committee (Franz Stelzer, Walter Friesenbichler, Katja Loos and Jiri Kotek) by the scientific committee. The Klaus Hummel Prize was selected based on an anonymous poll (the session chair, one invited speaker and a student of the technical team per session were entitled to vote) by the scientific committee.

The Klaus Hummel Prize was awarded to Karin Ratzenböck (Christian Doppler Laboratory for Organocatalysis in Polymerization and Institute for Chemistry and Technology of Materials, Graz University of Technology) for her oral presentation entitled "Water as monomer: Polymerizing divinyl sulfone and water via oxa-Michael addition"

The Best Poster Award - 1st place went to Florian Wanghofer (Polymer Competence Center Leoben) for his contribution entitled "Reversible adhesives for sustainable photovoltaics: Development of novel elastomeric vitrimers"

The Best Poster Award - 2nd place was offered to Raphaela Süss (Competence Center for Wood Composites & Wood Chemistry and Institute for Chemical Technology of Organic Materials, Johannes Kepler University, Linz) for the poster entitled "Lignin depolymerisation and use of the products as a sustainable substitute for phenol in resin production"

The Best Poster Award - 3rd place was awarded to Claudia Leimhofer (Institute of Polymer Science, Johannes Kepler University, Linz) for the poster entitled "Confocal Raman microscopy: A tool to characterize interdiffusion layers at polymer-polymer interfaces"

The organizers congratulate all awardees!
