In September 2025, Siemens announced the expansion of its successful Research and Innovation Ecosystem (RIE) in Graz
to a nationwide Siemens RIE AUT.

The existing partnership with the Graz University of Technology will now be expanded to include the Leoben University of Mining and Technology and the Vienna University of Technology.
This marks a significant milestone for Austria's research landscape.
