CONSTRUCTION PHYSICS

Relevant aspects of building physics within architectural design, such as indoor climate, outdoor climate, heat transfer, thermal and hygric behavior of building structures, thermal insulation, natural lighting, natural ventilation, room acoustics and sound insulation are taught and learned.

The importance of climatic influences on architectural design and the exploitation of physical phenomena in the field of building and urban design are central topics of this lecture. The course forms the basis for following courses at the institute, such as Architecture & Energy or Design of Specialized Topics.
