Solveig Furu Almo studied architecture at RMIT University in Melbourne, where she also worked as an exhibition coordinator, tutor, and project assistant at iph Architects. Originally from Trondheim, Norway, she gained further experience in Vienna and Chur before co-founding Studio SAAL with Lukas Pankraz Mähr in 2016.
Studio SAAL focuses on renovation and transformation, working with sustainable materials and the careful use and reuse of existing fabric, and often operates at the intersection of architecture, installation, and curatorial practice—exploring how built form, memory, and material care can coexist in contemporary design.
We are pleased to welcome Uli Mayer as our new guest professor this semester. In the summer semester of 2024, she will be supervising the Master's studio Brewery+ at our institute.
Uli Mayer studied architecture at ETH Zurich and completed a guest semester at Nanjing University of Technology. In 1997, she began working as an architect in Liechtenstein before joining the University of Liechtenstein as a research associate in 2001.
Since 2004, Uli Mayer has been working independently as an architect in collaboration with Urs Hüssy. In addition, she is actively involved in various professional committees and serves regularly as a jury member.
From 2013 to 2022, she taught at the University of Liechtenstein.

We are pleased to welcome Lukas Imhof as our new head of the Institute, starting on October 1.
Lukas Imhof studied architecture at ETH Zurich from 1994 to 2001. After that, he worked at Miroslav Šik's architecture office and from 2004 to 2012 he taught at ETH Zurich.
Since 2004, he has been working independently as an architect.
From 2014 to 2024, he taught at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences. He has served on various expert committees and juries, and has published numerous works, given many lectures, and often participated as a guest critic.
This semester we are pleased to welcome Arch. DI. Alexandra Stingl-Enge as a guest professor. Together with Winfried Enge, she has been managing Stingl-Enge Architekten ZT GmbH in Trofaiach since 2002. In addition, "Xandi" is teaching at the IAT since 2002.
She studied architecture at Graz University of Technology and the ecole d'architecture de Paris-Belleville. She is also active as a design advisor and urban design expert. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the mountains, both in winter and summer.
Her buildings have been recognized with several awards, including the Geramb-Rosen, the Styrian Timber Construction Award and a recognition award for exemplary residential construction. She also received recognition at the Burgenland Timber Construction Prize and was nominated for the ZV-Bauherrnpreis.
The Institute of Architecture Technology is looking for applicants for the professorship for structural engineering and design at our university.
The professorship represents the core area of architectural education at TU Graz, construction and design as a holistic competence. The professorship is intended to further develop the Institute of Architectural Technology in the areas of design, teaching and research in an international context. Candidates are expected to have an excellent design practice and a practical-constructive body of work, as well as an outstanding pedagogical and didactic abilities and excellent scientific qualifications.
