Series of lectures on Thursdays at 5 pm

This summer semester (SS26), the lecture of the Institute of Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering and Numerical Geotechnics from the Thursday lecture series will have a special highlight.
Not only because Sergei Terzaghi, grandson of the founder of soil mechanics Karl von Terzaghi and himself an outstanding geotechnical engineer with over 30 years of experience in projects in Australia and New Zealand, will deliver the lecture, but also because it marks the opening of the 8th International Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference.
This conference is specifically aimed at young geotechnical engineers from around the world, providing a platform to connect and present their remarkable work.

While the events on June 12 and 13 are reserved for conference participants, the lecture by Sergei Terzaghi on June 11 at 5:15 PM in Lecture Hall HSI at Alte Technik (Rechbauerstraße 12), followed by drinks and snacks, is open to the public, and we look forward to welcoming all interested attendees.
