Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2019 (SBE19)

The thematic umbrella of the WSBE2020 will be the United Nations SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (UN SDGs). SBE19 Graz will be organized in thematic line with this conference. In addition, a focus should be put on approaches for implementation of sustainable developments in the built environment.
Scientists as well as representatives from the construction and real estate industry and politicians discuss how and with which methods, technologies and processes the goals of resource conservation and environmental protection, including social and economic issues from the level of construction products to buildings and up to neighborhoods and building stock can be achieved.
The SBE19 Graz conference is part of a major international series of conferences that focus on sustainable buildings and construction. The series was launched by the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) and the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE) two de- cades ago, and these partners were subsequently joined by the Sustainable Building and Climate Initiative (SBCI) of UN Environment and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).
The series, now on a three-year cycle, has become recognized as the world’s preeminent conference series in this important field.
Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) will host this conference in co-operation with University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna and for the first time internationally with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and ETH Zürich.
