DP.TUW.2: Large-Scale Elemental Mapping for Advanced Modeling

Project Goals

This project aims to determine changes in the chemical composition of aged batteries using analytical techniques such as LA-ICP-MS, ToF-SIMS or DEMS. Investigations will be performed in situ and ex situ), with the objective to get a better understanding of the phenomena (e.g., chemical reactions) involved in battery aging. For this purpose, improved measurement protocols as well as enhanced procedures for automation and data interpretation are required.
