Mag. Katharina Walter

In my research project, I focus on the enlightenment of cancer energy metabolism. Specifically, I am investigating the impact of Nat8l on cancer metabolism and development by the use of in vitro techniques and in vivo experiments. My technical expertise ranges from basic techniques (e.g. western blot, molecular cloning qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry) to cell culture techniques (e.g. proliferation assays using murine and human cancer cell lines) to animal handling and experiments (e.g. subcutaneous tumor growth, metastasis, cachexia, metabolomics of tumors).

Furkan Alkan, MSc

I am investigating the involvement of mitochondrial proteins in novel cellular energy metabolisms. I apply shRNA technique to characterize the metabolic outcomes of certain proteins in vitro and try to confirm it with in vivo conditions. I am often using basic molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, molecular cloning, western blot, qPCR, immunohistochemistry and so on. CV Furkan Alkan h.f.alkannoSpam@tugraz.at

Claudia Gaug

My working focus lies on administrative office work and lab management. In particular, I am responsible for the management of examinations and teaching. Furthermore, I am ordering consumables, chemicals, and laboratory equipment and asking for quotations claudia.gaugnoSpam@tugraz.at
