The Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. University Assistant (prae doc, 4 years) at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision

40h/week, presumably starting 01 October 2020.

Admission requirements

Completed master or diploma studies in the field of computer science, software development, economics, telecommunications engineering, computer science or a comparable study.

Wanted Qualifications

  • Profound and extensive knowledge in Visual Computing and Mixed Reality Technologies, especially Computational Imaging for 3D Near-Eye Displays, 3D Display Design, Light-Field Rendering, Calibration and Programming of Focus-Tunable Lenses, GPU-Computing and Real-Time Rendering
  • Research experience with scientific publications
  • Experience in the repentance of bachelor and master projects, participation in university self-administration
  • Support for teaching in the field of Mixed Reality
  • Support of laboratories and comprehensive institute software libraries.
  • Experience in supporting research projects (EU,FFG,FWF,CDL, company projects).

Our offer

B 1 under the collective agreement for university employees; the monthly minimum remuneration for this use is currently € 2.929.- gross (14 times per year, including social and health insurance) and may possibly be increased on the basis of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement by taking into account previous experience specific to the job as well as other remuneration components associated with the special features of the job.
