Women in Engineering - Graz 2020

On June 23rd, the day of the international Women in Engineering Day, took place the Women in Engineering event. Despite of Covid-19 situation, we virtually meet to exchange ideas and be inspired  on topics relevant to university and work life. TU Graz kindly sponsored the event.

Katerina Macurova, Quality Assurance Engineer at NXP, hosted a sparkling online evening with more than 70 women engineers from local Graz high tech companies and universities and introduced three inspiring speeches:

  • “Why is Diversity Important” by  Johanna Schmidt, Vice-Chair of IEEE Austria Women in Engineering
  •  “Rethinking Leadership” by Joanne Schell, Quality manager of PL SCA, NXP Semiconductors, Austria
  • “Men’s world” by Renate Rossoll-Krompass, Complaint Handling Manager of BL C&S, NXP Semiconductors, Austria

The feedback was uniformly enthusiastic, so the Core Team is working to prepare the 2021 event. Many thanks to all the participant!
