31st March is the date of the Catalyst Coding Contest – Europe’s biggest software engineering competition. TU Graz and Know Center are among the organisers. Individual places are still available!

Four hours to find the solution at the Catalyst Coding Contest at TU Graz’s Inffeldgasse Campus on 31st March. Programmer pro or neophyte – all are welcome.
Who is faster? Who is more effective? And how many different ways can a problem be solved? To go into some of these questions, the software developer Catalyst is organising the “Catalyst Coding Contest” programming competition – for the first time ever simultaneously in several cities around the world. The competition is completely anonymous and it costs nothing to take part. Participants have four hours to find a solution to a secret problem in teams of a maximum of three persons.

Preparations are also in full swing in Graz. The Know Center competence centre and TU Graz open the doors to the competition at the Inffeldgasse Campus at 12.30 pm. Stefanie Lindstaedt, head of the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science and director of Know Center: “I can reveal this much: the problem is algorithmic and tricky – but solvable!”

Experienced programmers and neophytes, team players and individualists – all are equally welcome in this motley crew of participants. And whoever performs well can drop their pseudonym and pick up one of the prizes and due recognition. Amongst the items to win: tablet computers, a 3D printer, a TU Graz branded bicycle helmet, a TU Graz portable charger, drones and a TU Graz backpack with integrated 5 watt solar panels made by SunnyBAG.
Places are still available! Everyone who cannot be present in one of the host cities on 31st March can take part in the competition online. Go to registration and more detailed information.
