Students and scientists of all fields of study and from all universities who are working on an innovative business idea and want to take the next step towards implementation are welcome to the Start-Up Garage. But be warned: to ensure intensive work together, the number of teams is limited. Every semester, a maximum of ten ideas is accepted for the start-up garage. Applications can still be submitted by Saturday, 13th of October, at 12 noon.
This is the Start-Up Garage
Ten teams work for a whole semester specifically to further develop their business ideas. They are optimally supported by experts from real life. The programme includes services to the value of some 50,000 euros. On top of this, students receive two semester hours or two ECTS credits in the form of an elective subject or free subject – thus benefiting twice over. Employed persons can also apply – and if you are neither a member of TU Graz nor the University of Graz, just co-register as a member of your home university.
Workshops specially tailored to your business idea are included:
- Business model development,
- Design thinking,
- Intellecutal property rights,
- Online and growth marketing,
- Legal and tax, pitch training,
- Coaching and personal mentoring.
Submit ideas
Applications for the Start-Up Garage are open. The deadline for Vol. XI is Saturday 13th October, 2018, at 12 o’clock noon. Hearings take place at TU Graz in the E-LAB, Kopernikusgasse 24/IV on Monday, 15th October, 2018, from 8am to 1pm. All selected applicants will receive an invitation to a hearing by email which includes all necessary details after the end of the deadline.
