Product Innovation Project

The Product Innovation Project (PIP) lasts 8 months, counts for 7 ECTS and has a budget of 10,000 euros. Teams of students from different subjects and of different nationalities tackle a real-world problem, supplied by industrial partners, united by a hunger for innovation. The goal is a product concept, a functioning prototype and a business plan.

The inventions are discussed, organized, soldered and assembled in the work spaces of the DesignLab and the FabLab of TU Graz. With a free choice of methods and materials, creative and innovative solutions emerge.

Thomas Böhm, head of the Product Innovation Project 2016/2017
