Bachelor’s and Master’s Stipends of Excellence for Female Students in Mechanical Engineering

Together with TU Graz, the REMUS-SEBRING Group will award five scholarships to talented and motivated female students in the field of mechanical engineering for a maximum period of two years.

With over 750 employees, the REMUS-SEBRING corporate group produces exhaust systems for the global market. The corporate group is a development partner and original equipment supplier for the international automotive industry and is also a firmly established member of the car tuning industry.

Quick Facts

  • From WS 2019/20 and on, five REMUS-SEBRING Group Stipends will be awarded:

  • Length: Support will be provided for a maximum of 24 months (with appropriate proof of achievement)
  • Amount: For bachelor’s students, the amount provided monthly is 500 €, and when appropriate proof of achievement has been provided, a total of 12,000 € over the period of two years. For master’s students, the amount provided monthly is 900 €, and when appropriate proof of achievement has been provided, a total of 21,600 € over the period of two years.
  • Additional benefits: It is possible to fill an – additionally paid – internship position at the REMUS-SEBRING Group for 2 months during the two-year period. Further integration into the REMUS-SEBRING Group’s activities is possible.

The scholarship and the internship both offer me great opportunities. In addition to the financial support, I am able to complement my studies by gaining practical insights into mechanical engineering and all its facets.

Requirements and Admission Requirements

For the bachelor’s stipend:

All complete applications submitted by female students who have been admitted to the bachelor's programme since the winter semester 2019/20 and have thus far provided excellent proof of academic achievement will be considered.

For the master’s stipend:

All complete applications submitted by female students who have been admitted to the master's programme since the winter semester 2019/20 and have thus far provided excellent proof of academic achievement will be considered. Any admission requirements must, therefore, be met. Upon receipt of the stipends, proof of academic achievement must be provided after one year.

After completing a bachelor's programme in Mathematics and Automotive Engineering, I am continuing my education with the master's programme in Mechanical Engineering, which reflects my passion for motor sports. My professional goal is to work in the R&D area. The Remus Sebring Stipend allows me to gain insight into the business world and helps me establish contacts in the field of motor sports.

Application

The complete applications should be sent by e-mail by 31 October 2019 to bachelorstipendium-remus-sebringnoSpam@tugraz.at or masterstipendium-remus-sebringnoSpam@tugraz.at.

Applicants studying Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Business Economics are required to hand in their application papers in German; applicants studying Production, Science and Management are required to submit their papers in English.

Please note that only applications of female students will be taken into consideration.

The complete application comprises:

  • letter of motivation
  • curriculum vitae
  • proof of academic achievement in previously attended schools or programmes and
  • two reference letters from teachers

A jury of experts from TU Graz draw up an initial list of awardees. The final awards will be given based on a hearing held at the REMUS-SEBRING Group.
